Letter To Our Retiree's

To our Retired Family, Friends, and Patients,

I am writing this letter to address concerns in regards to the recent events of the automotive companies eliminating dental insurance to retirees. As many of you know, several Chrysler and General Motors Retirees have lost their dental insurance as of July 1, 2009. It is undetermined at this time how many others will be losing their dental insurance. Without the benefit of dental insurance, employers are now expecting you to pay out of pocket for your dental services to maintain your health. Our office is working diligently to help find ways to help financially assist you in maintaining your dental health and continuing with your maintenance.

Many of you have been longstanding loyal patients to our dental practice. Others of you are just getting to know us. I want to say that we truly appreciate and value our relationships with all of you. Our purpose in practice is to provide you with high quality dental care to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Valuing and prioritizing our health is truly the most important aspect of life because without it, we do not have much at all. It is important for everyone to know that we are here to help with your dental health and we will do all that we can to assure that your needs and expectations are met.

As a team, we have looked at many ways to make dental treatment more affordable for you as more and more of you do not have dental insurance. First of all, we want you to know that Delta Dental of Michigan has recently announced an individual dental insurance plan that will be offered to UAW-sponsored salary and hourly Chrysler and General Motors Retirees. You must sign up for this plan within 60 days of the termination of your dental insurance to avoid eligibility waiting periods. When signing up with Delta Dental, you should know that option 1 will give you the dental benefits that most closely resembles your previous dental plan. Furthermore, our office is offering a 10% courtesy on all dental services for any persons over the age of 60 that do not have dental insurance. This offer is valid indefinitely until otherwise stated. All other financial policies will remain the same. As a team, we value our relationships and greatly appreciate all of your support over the years so we want to extend this courtesy to you. Those of you that do have dental insurance will have your dental insurance benefits to assist you. In addition, we want everyone to know that through a third party we offer interest free financing for dental services for those of you that would like to make monthly payments.
